目からうろこが落ちたこと
今日は目からうろこが落ちたことをふたつ。
☆スーパーマリオに関して
マリオの職業は配管工というのはご存知の方も多いと思います。
土管に入るとけっこうたくさんコインが落ちてたり、クリアに必要な鍵的なものがあったりします。
配管工だから、ガンガン土管に入っていけるんですね。
喫煙所でタバコをすっていたら急にそのことに気づいてしまって目からうろこが落ちました。
怪しい土管があると僕はとりあえず↓ボタンを押す派なんですが、その感覚は「職業柄、土管を見ると入って調べないと気がすまないんですよ」というワーカホリックな感覚に近いっていうことですね。
と。そこまでは納得がいくんですが。
マリオってきのこを食べたらパワーアップしたり、星をとったら無敵になったり、花をとったら炎が出せたりしますよね。
職業の設定に対する忠実さと、そういったきのことか星とか花の世界観がなんかテンション違いませんか？
少し考えたら納得がいく答えが出ました。
きのこ＝マッシュルーム的な何か。星＝体内に取り込むと幻覚が見える科学的な何か。花＝体内に取り込むと幻覚が見えるネイチャーな何か。ですよね。完全に。
そう考えていくと、行く手を阻む敵たちも、雲に乗れちゃったりするのも、おっさんがマントやたぬきやかえるのスーツを着るなどの奇行も容易に説明が付きます。
つまり、マリオのゲームは全方面においてのドラッグ中毒の配管工のおっさんが、いろんな街をかけずり回る道すがら、幻覚という名の敵をやっつけていくストーリーということなんですね。
まぁ、僕が喫煙所で思いついただけの妄想ですけど。
☆○○氏とトキワ荘に関して
おたくや腐女子の方は、人の事を○○（名字）氏と呼びますね。
○○君とか○○さんではなく、あえて「氏」で呼びます。
これの発祥は諸説あると思うのですが、僕はあの伝説の漫画家が集い切磋琢磨していた伝説的なアパート「トキワ荘」にそのルーツがあると踏んでいます。
出版社が漫画家を囲い込むために寮的に用意したアパートで、手塚治虫を中心に、メジャーな人では石ノ森章太郎や赤塚不二夫や藤子不二雄などが住んでいたそうです。
まんが道などの参考文献によると、そこに住んでいた人は、お互いのことを「氏」づけで呼んでいたようです。「石ノ森氏昨日も徹夜？」や「赤塚氏失踪しました」という感じで。
おたくや腐女子の方々はその伝説の漫画家たちへのリスペクトの意味で使っているんだと思います。
じゃあそもそも、その漫画家たちは「氏」づけで呼び合っているのか？そのルーツが気になりませんか？
僕はそれに気がついたときに鳥肌がたちました。

先輩は疎まれるのは世の常です。ネクスト手塚世代たちは先輩のことをちょっと馬鹿にする意味で「オサムシ」と呼んでいたという説はいかがでしょうか？
手塚先輩がいない飲みの席とかでいつものように「オサムシ。オサムシ」呼んで盛り上がっていたところに当の手塚本人が登場してヤバイ状況を切り抜けるために、「オサム氏」の意味ですよ。と言い訳したのが容易に想像つきますね。
ヤンキーの先輩を馬鹿にしてたところに本人が通りかかってそれをうまくごまかし切れずにボコボコにされたことがある僕としては、ありありとその瞬間のテンパり具合と、お尻の割れ目に汗をかく感覚が実感できました。
○○氏のルーツは手塚治虫の「虫」の部分にあり！
まぁこれも仕事の合間に喫煙所で現実逃避してたときに思いついただけの妄想なんですけど。
