アウターワールド！ドラマチック異世界！

今回のファミ中はこちら。
「アウターワールド」！！！
アウターゾーンではありません。
1992年にビクターからスーパーファミコン用ソフトとして発売。
発売元はビクターですが、このソフト、洋ゲーです。
フランスの人が作った、いかにもフランスなエスプリのきいた怪作でありんす！
当時は全然しりませんでした。知ったのは最近。気になってた所を、友人のマスカット大統領さんが貸してくれました！あざっす！
というわけでレッツチャレンジ。
ストーリーはこれ。
科学者であるレスター・ナイトチェイキンは、度重なる嵐の影響で延期されていた粒子加速実験を天候の悪い中強行する。延期中に確認しておいた訂正すべき場所をコンピュータに打ち直し、あとは実験の結果を待つだけだった…。
しかし、その最中雷が研究所を直撃。そして、レスターはそれによって引き起こされた光と爆発に巻き込まれた。直後、レスターはその場所から消え去っていた…。
…その後、フランスのある研究所から彼が記したと思われる一冊の日記が見つかった。
オープニングではアニメーションムービーがはじまり、気合い入ってる感満載です。
それに見入っていると、
オープニングムービー。
ブクブク・・。
まず死ぬでしょう。
このゲーム、はじまりがありません。
ないというか、研究所から一連の流れがあって、異世界にとばされて初めて操れるようになるのですが、飛ばされた先は異世界の何やら水の中という設定。
そりゃー飛ばされた場所が安全とは言い切れません。うん、あるある。
という開発者の意図が垣間見えますね。
なんかボタンをおして、何とか地上へ出た教授。
そこは地球ではなさそうな世界。これこそがアウターワールド！
右も左もわかりません。うん、あるある。
そんでもってこのゲームはかなりむずい。むずいといっても敵が強いとかそういうわけではなく、アドベンチャー要素がつまってて、全然先に進めません。こんなことぜってーわかんねぇーよ！的なエスプリかしらんがそんな謎ぎっしり。
もちろん攻略サイトをみながらクリアーしました。
そして、忘れていけないのが、ヤマシタさん（仮称）という助っ人の存在。
ヤマシタさんというのはこの異世界の住人でなにやら主人公と一緒につかまっています。
そこから一緒に脱出することになるのですが、とてもドラマチックに主人公を助けてくれる頼れる男（？）。そんなとこからヤマシタさんキタ〜！となることまちがいありません。
ヤマシタさんという名前は最初に会った時、なにやらぶつくさ言ってるんですが、そのときに「ヤマシタさん！ヤマシタさん！」といってるらしく、その名前がついたらしい。
ヤマシタさん。岩男みたいな顔してますが、漢です。
主人公がゲームオーバーになる時はかならずムービーが少し入ったりと開発者のエスプリの利いたこだわりが垣間見えるとってもおもろい洋ゲーです。
ゲームオーバーの画面は死ぬほど見ることでしょう。
プリンス・オブ・ペルシアと肩をならべる面白さ＆難しいアウターワールドをぜひ。
やってる途中もエンディングも「え〜〜っっ！！」ってなることまちがいなし！
